Many small things come together whcih makes u buy a cheaper bag and never experience a problem but having the perfect sling for you really lets you feel the difference in built quality, usability and just comfort. i love COB for their versatility the built quality is amazing and i personally love Xpac. it mostly comes down to ur personal preference and usecase. I think the more expensive bags mostly have a different type of marketing and relationship to their customers COB are a good example u can find every little detail of their bags in the description which is really nice to compare it to other bags while tomtoc tries to reach a wider audience instead of really getting the best from every individual bag. Our reviews are impartial, and the content of this review was not discussed with Aer prior to publication. Editor’s Note: The City and Day slings used for this review were provided by Aer. YKK is always a good choice although it could be a bigger one especially when u wanna use it for a laptop carry. The Day and City slings both come in Aer’s standard offerings of fabrics and are available from Aer directly for 65 and 75 respectively. I have seen in multiple times before as well but besides the look which really throws me off high cost slings have somewhat of a reputation for durability which are mirrored in the materials of course and just reading through the specs it loosk fine although it doesnt say which cordura they use specifically. The logo is upside down which I thought was strange? In any case I bought this to test whether or not I would use a sling a lot, and the bang for the buck here is out of this world compared to some of the $400-500 bags sitting on my shelf. Again, quality is great and I think it looks just fine. I would have been more wary of doing this on a $120 Aer. This review of the Aer Sling 3 touches on this same 'downgrade'. I bought some "purse strap gummies" which are effectively 3M gummy stickers for the strap to stop it from slipping.

I've watched a million videos on other slings and have come to the conclusion this is an issue with slings, not with the Tomtoc sling specifically. The issue I have is it slipping down my back if I'm walking the dogs. It feels pretty high quality for what I want it for. I bought this to throw my e-reader, battery pack, wallet, snack, and a few other small items into if I'm feeling like riding my bike out to a park to read, or walking the dogs to a lake to sit down and read. It's hard to give a strong opinion because, while I have probably a dozen very high quality backpacks and briefcase/messenger bags, I do *not* have any other slings.
